Frequently asked questions

Do you offer monthly subscriptions?

Currently, we offer 6-month or annual subscriptions. However, we do plan to introduce monthly subscriptions in the near future.

What is an impression?

An impression is a video view that’s counted when a source is set on the player. For fixed-length content, i.e. video-on-demand (VOD), an impression is registered after 5 seconds of video playback. For variable-length content, i.e. live TV, an impression is registered after 5 seconds of video playback and then an extra one for every subsequent 4 hours of playback. For example, 24 hours of continuous live content playback would count as 6 impressions. For more information, see our terms and conditions.

How am I charged for extra impressions?

The OpenTV SDK can log impressions based on the rules outlined above. Impressions are aggregated monthly and an individual invoice provided.

What is meant by self hosting?

The OpenTV SDK for Browser is not hosted by video.pace. It is provided as a delivery package and must be hosted on your own dedicated web server. See our integration guidelines for more details.
